Crepevine- Berkeley, CA

After a heated debate about reverse sexism in the modern world, we strolled past Ohlone Park toward Shattuck to check out Crepevine. The first thing we noticed upon entering was the huge chalkboard menu that had at least 10,000 items listed on it. As a pair of breakfast-eaters that values quantity just as much as quality, this vast selection was much appreciated. There were many oo's and ah's to be had. After hours of deliberation, Gillian ordered the San Francisco Crepe, Tanner ordered the Eggs Blackstone, and the two of us ordered the Tri-Berry Crepe to share, as well as two large orange juices. At Crepevine, you are given a number after ordering at the counter, and then made to find your own table where they bring your food out to you. One negative of our experience was how long we were sitting at a completely empty table. Our drinks arrived long after our food, which was delivered with no utensils, rendering us helpless against our delicious-looking meal. When everything was finally in place, we began to stuff our faces. The Eggs Blackstone was great. It had poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, tomatoes and onions on top of an English muffin. Nothing fancy, but delicious. And Tanner surprisingly enjoyed the accompanying home fries, which is unusual because he's not typically a fan of potatoes. The San Francisco Crepe was basically a salmon crepe and was equally delicious. It wasn't too cheesy and also came with a kind of bland but still tasty side salad and potatoes. Our Tri-Berry Crepe was supposed to arrive after our meal, but we think they forgot. They brought it soon after Tanner went in to ask about it. The small amount of it that we had time to eat was good, as was the ice cream (!) that came with it, though we didn't find the ice cream necessary. The orange juice seemed fresh-squeezed and was super good, too. All in all, we would come back for the food, but not for the service.

Pros:
-awesome food
-fresh OJ
-relatively short wait (especially for a Sunday)

Cons:
-short-staffed or slow staff, couldn't decide
-long drink wait
-dirty table
